How it is Made

There are three methods of extraction in the production of raspberry seed oil: steam distillation, supercritical fluid extraction, and cold pressing. Steam distillation utilizes chemical solvents to extract the oil, and supercritical fluid extraction utilizes heat (and some organic chemical solvents) for extraction. The cold-pressed method is used to extract the oil without the use of heat or solvents, which is recommended to retain the benefits and nutritional profile of the seed oil. We use cold-pressed raspberry seed oil in our products.

Safety Concerns

Studies indicate that topical application is safe; however, insufficient information is available to suggest its safety when taken internally.

Drug Interaction: If you have any health concerns or are taking any prescription medication, please consult with your healthcare provider before adding new herbs or supplements to your diet.

Breastfeeding and Pregnancy: There are no known contraindications for breastfeeding and pregnancy.

Other Concerns: Note that while raspberry seed oil does have naturally occurring SPF, it is not a replacement for sunscreen. Additional caution must be taken to ensure adequate sun protection.
